Gerlach’s provides sidewalk clearing and de-icing as part of our winter services. Like snow plowing, we have several crews that maintain sidewalk areas for their property owners. On the small sidewalks, we use shovels and snow blowers. On the larger sidewalks, we use 4 wheelers and skid steers. After they are cleared, we use push spreaders for applying the deicer to ensure an even spread. We use calcium chloride / ice melter on the entrance ways and rock salt on the outer sidewalks. If you prefer, we even offer an eco-friendly ice melter that protects the landscapes and concrete.
