Snow Removal - Salting

Gerlach’s provides salting and de-icing agents as part of our winter services. Our first priority is to maintain safe surfaces for all of our customers. We have 12 salt trucks that range in size from 1 ton to 5 ton, which are all dedicated to salting to ensure they are always on task. All of our salt trucks are equipped with a PDA that tracks the time we are in the lots as well as how much product is being laid down.

We stock pile rock salt at several locations to minimize our travel time and maximize our response times. We always have a sufficient supply of salt, which ensures that there is always enough to complete any job under any circumstances or condition. We receive truck loads daily from several different suppliers that make sure our stock pile is always full. We also have 10,000 gallons of liquid deicer on hand for our liquid salting applications. In some cases the rock salt and liquid brine are used together for faster results.
